After looking at a couple of tutorials online I had a ho at painting a background for portraits..... I'm a bit bored of solid rolls of Colorama A farm outbuildings floor was probably not the easiest place to do it, but the results turned out ok for the first go. Painted using F&B water based emulsion, sponges and rollers, the resulting canvas is delicate, and any sharp edge would quickly go through it, but its still a lot cheaper than buying a canvas from a dedicated provider.
Here's a picture of Winston modelling it for the first time, the background is actually blue, but I love how it becomes a beautfiul cyan after running the image through Alien Skin.
